Market your business to a “listening audience”

PROMOTIONAL POSSIBILITIES:  The group is self funded and not for profit.  We affiliated to WiRE (Women in Rural Enterprise) to benefit from their extensive networking experience, national coverage and as a gateway to contact the newly self employed women in Shropshire.  However, despite being affiliated we are not funded or run by WiRE.  We charge a small fee for each meeting (guests FOC) and that is to help towards covering refreshments, website & IT, admin, print, telephone, consumables but thanks to both our venue hosts the our meeting rooms are free of room charge.  However, we do have the other costs mentioned above and insufficient funds to provide them.  So we are asking local businesses to help us in return for being able to promote their products and services to this collective of local businesses.  This promotion can take several forms which are list below:

1.       Equipment – ring binder or plastic wallets, pens, pads, foldersand carry cases, FOC printing of a flyer or marketing post card for NWS – branded to your business is fine – members we expect in total to be about 100 so it’s a small amount in reality and some sponsors are only able to provide part of our requirement for any one item, which is fine. 

2.       Special Offers – discounts on goods or services for members – valid where possible for a couple of months.  For example 10% discount, 2 for 1 etc.

3.       Training on any aspect of business – we intend to provide our members with useful information on a wide range of topics and this information would be a printed A4 sheet(s) with the providers' full business details on the reverse.  Usually taking the form of 10 top tips or Q & A's on a specific area of business.  This would be discussed in full with you if you are interested.

4.       Sponsor a meeting – sponsor a meeting is a very affordable option to brand that meeting to your company, attend as a guest and open future doors to the group - we have a standard fee of £50 to sponsor a meeting.

5.       Speakers on business subjects – it is not intended that we have meetings where the focus is just one speaker but we will have call for FOC speakers to give mini talks on business subjects to the group – this can range from legislation to book-keeping, printing for business to understanding how to find a retail outlet – the scope is endless.  Usually a 10 minute presentation and a 10 mins question and answer session.  As the meetings are the identical each month speakers would need to be able to attend both meetings on the same day, Telford and Shrewsbury.

What do you get out of it – your name publicised through your choice above, your literature displayed at the meetings and possibly later on even the chance to do a short pitch to the members, join us at special events or as a guest at the meeting you sponsor.  You get the chance to market your business to a collective group of business women from across the region.  Infact all these businesses need the services of others in a huge array of fields from printing to accountants, IT to event catering.
